On a recent flight, the attendant helped me find my seat (last row) and informed me that statistically speaking, it was the safest seat on the plane. I replied, “Well for this flight, I was hoping they would all be equally safe.”

True hack: buy sheets with a stripe pattern that allows you to easily tell which way the fitted sheet goes on a KS mattress. I find vertical stripes the best, but not always available. The length-width difference of a King is only 4 inches, so basically a damn square, but not enough that the sheet fits either way.
Mine gets a pretty good workout over the summer for margaritas, and any other cocktail that requires citrus juice. My recipe for the margarita is a little on the sweet side:
I totally get the issues listed in the article, but not everyone has a family. Some of us are couples or just single, and the open plans are awesome if that’s your situation. Not every thing is intended for every person. We have houses with open plans and houses with more walls and rooms. So we have options, and…
I put on my robe and wizard hat.
The problem we ran into was that while it wasn’t too difficult to share with a single individual, it was more difficult to share with another company. There is no sync capability between two different OneDrive tenants, which makes it difficult to automate file transfer and act on receipt. As old as it is, sFTP…
Having dealt with this very recently, I would strongly caution against OneDrive/Sharepoint for now. It works fine for sharing within an organization, but file sharing outside of your organization is nowhere near even half the capability of Google Drive or Dropbox. Microsoft states they are working on it.
What? No Dollhouse? They have to complete the set!
This was a thing my wife and went back and forth over for a few weeks. The children were in 6th, 8th, and 9th grade at the time. We had just moved, and I think the notion of the kids being in a new town tipped the scale toward getting them phones as a safety concern. That was back in 2007. I did my best to limit usage…
Lol. You are correct. Here, straight from the manufacturer:
If you have nice cookware, it should probably be washed by hand. Kitchen knives should always be washed by hand. I typically only use one plate and one fork otherwise, which are quickly hand washed with the rest of the stuff. I haven’t used my dishwasher in at least a year.
I second the Maid of the Mist. I had been to NF a couple of times without taking that tour, but it is SO worth it. It’s difficult to appreciate the scale of the falls until you are nearly under them. I felt like an ancient explorer confronted with something for which I had no frame of reference to understand; like…
I found it more than a little disturbing that the article made no mention of using toy guns outside. Few things in this world will get a young child killed in real life by the police as fast as a toy gun. They often look very real. Children are unlikely to know how to respond to an officer pointing a real handgun at…
Amen to skipping the premix, and adding pickle juice to your Bloody Mary!
Truth. But depending upon your tastes, the shows are awesome. As a geek, I gravitate toward sci-fi, fantasy, supernatural, and the super-heroic. They have lots of great shows in those genres. I use their Blu-Ray service for the films.
Go with Hendrick’s gin. It pairs perfectly with cucumber.
I’ll shit on it. I use Suave Men’s 3-in-1. It’s $2.94 on Amazon, and I don’t have to buy shampoo and conditioner. Or maybe it’s that I don’t have to buy conditioner and body wash? Who’s to say really? I’m definitely not needing to buy two things. Can you shampoo your hair with a bar of soap? Sure! Should you though?…
I guess the pic got filtered out.
Sorry, Claire, but an Aviation without Creme de Violette? Sacrilege!
