You know men can be raped too, right?

This whole thing cracks me up a little. David Tennant is one of the rare celebrities nowadays who has goodwill to burn. If you read “David Tennant punches nun”, you’d think “What did that nun say to make David Tennant upset?”

So Jojo comes out trying to paint him as sexist, and any fan of his work with half a brain

Counterpoint: she’s just not a good actress and is uncharismatic, monotone, and dead-eyed in pretty much all of her roles. She’s at her best in talk show appearances when she’s just being a version of herself.

“Won’t somebody PLEASE think of the transphobes!”

I watched the film version of  M*A*S*H before I ever really paid attention to the TV show, and I have to say, I like his not-suitable-for-primetime-TV version of Hawkeye better than Alan Alda’s.  Although having been in the army, working with someone like him would have been absolutely infuriating.

The first time Tatiana Maslany and Kristian Bruun did Comedy Bang Bang together, I thought to myself that it was an interesting pairing because they didn’t share any scenes on Orphan Black.

People are still actively thinking Homelander is the ‘hero’ - I’m okay with all restraint going out the window, and just being like, “This Is Bad!”

I’m not totally sure, but I got the impression super villains weren’t even a thing in the show's real world until sometime in season one.

try imagining a version of The Tonight Show With Jay Leno without Kevin Eubanks.”
- yeah...no, I’m totally fine with that.

Now playing

Patton Oswalt has a joke about doing a casino show that’s pretty good; the dynamics of these things are not setup for a successful comedy show. Lopez should have tried listing the shows and movies he’s been in:

Wait... is this “Chappell Roan” person just that Snookie person painted green? You can’t fool me - I can see it clearly in the story photo at the top of the article!

Mate, most musos could only dream of “toiling in obscurity” (i.e. doing what they love) for 10ish years, many of those years as a teenager living at home with a support structure. Most don’t make it, ever.

I love the way they’re all like “X moved to Punxatawney and worked in the studio with this producer, creating a more layered, nuanced sound before ditching it all and starting again for truly sophisticated results, making the sound of the summer...” and you play the YouTube clip and it’s all the same old, boring

I wouldn’t go so far as to call it ‘mediocre meh’, and while I’m curious about what a Star Wars movie would have looked like if had been made with Lego Movie sensibilities I’m not sure it would have really worked. At least not at the time - today Star Wars has enough entries that diversification of filmmaking

Solo had so much potential that got winnowed down into the mediocre meh we saw. Would have loved to see the Lord & Miller cut.

Seriously, how hard is it to just give a quick talk on a stage at a community theater and just play nice and not shoot yourself in the dick?

The Godfather

Yep. The 70s had a bunch of young, asshole actors running around, being abominable dicks to cast and crew while blaming it on “method.”

People are of course complaining about him not being allowed to do and say whatever he wants, but the reality is that he can do and say whatever he wants, but the people who paid an organization to see a talk that was supposed to be about Jaws also have the right to be pissed and demand their money back.

No wonder Robert Shaw hated him. He knew what was up back in 1974!
