I had the same thought process, although I completely mind-blanked on Lewis' name. Guessing the judges wouldn't have accepted my "Who is that Narnia Guy"

I didn't think I had a "dental" issue until I read A Thousand Splendid Suns, and the part where the main character's husband makes her chew a mouthful of pebbles disturbed me on such a visceral level that I had to put the book down for a while.
No surprise Santorum dropped out - his campaign was so dead he took it home so his kids could meet it!
I'll be waiting for the live-action Yogi Bear movie. That bear from the Revenant would make a great Boo-Boo
This must mean the return of CompUSA is right around the corner!
Quibble with the review - correct me if I'm wrong, but Zoom hasn't ordered Wells to find a way to steal Barry's speed, I'm pretty sure he can do that already on his own. He's told Wells to get Barry to be even faster, so there's more speed for him to take.
And of course, there were quite a few "no returning champion" scenarios when they used to only be allowed 5 wins.
A little surprised that the On Golden Pond question not only didn't end up a "before their time" triple stumper, but they even named two actors from the film.
Completely irrelevant anecdote - I have an uncle who brags about that film being the last he's seen in a theater every single time movies are a topic of…
In "how much money can this thing make?" news, Box Office Mojo's list of domestic gross (adjusted for inflation) has The Force Awakens passing Jedi and $25 million from Avatar, so it'll most likely hit that benchmark this coming weekend and probably getting close to Empire.
What brand of tequila? I'm not a huge tequila drinker, but I'd like to find something that's better than Cuervo, but not as over-hyped (and over-priced) as Patron. Any suggestions?
It was kind of a no-brainer question anyway, but I was still a little surprised that Donald wasn't notable enough that they asked for more clarification when she just said "Sutherland" on the 24 question. Always seems a little inconsistent to me when they get picky on answers
Kill or be killed, sure. But they certainly could have shown that he gave a shit or had the least bit of conflict about it.
Which just reinforced my point. They had relapses, but not with him. He's not an anomaly in having a personality
Exactly. And there is so much more they could have done to develop an interesting, conflicted character. The fundamentals are all there. He's leaving the only life he's ever known, leaving this brotherhood that he's been indoctrinated in his whole life. Tons of emotional conflict they could have mined with that. How…
But Fin had the same training/indoctrination and upbringing. If something about him is that different, they didn't really sell it. There was even a comment when Ren asked about him that he'd had no history of disobedience.
The "Ben" thing bothered me, too. Leia never actually even met Ben Kenobi, and to Han he was just the guy he hauled to the Death Star
My biggest problem with the characterization of Finn –You
have to assume he’d have some friends among the other troopers, these people
he’s spent his whole life with, people he’s lived with, trained with, ate with,
spent his downtime with playing space-poker and bitching about the lack safety
rails in the Empire/First…
Too bad Christopher Hitchens isn't still around to write a guest AV Club review for this
All this talk of comedies, and no Drunk History!? That kind of omission could drive a person to drink.
Pretty proud of myself for running the Caldecott Medal category, despite never having heard of the Caldecott Medal.
