@1Grand_Marquis: Thanks. It's among the things I'm familiar with in passing, but haven't explored as deeply as others. I'll definitely have to bump it up my to-do list.

@emoliant: Perhaps they are the same insofar as they illustrate the same principle? A component that by itself functions more-or-less mechanistically, part of a a greater system that as a whole expresses intelligence.

@Inphoarius: Only if your desire to see the awesome visuals truly outweighs your desire to not have hundreds of millions to billions of people die due to choking ash and volcanic winter.

@Maddjonesy: There may be some element of American culture that figures into it, but I imagine it's mostly due to the fact that Hollywood is such a nexus for the film industry. If anyone comes up with a neat idea, they'll capitalize upon it.

@SeraphX2: Katara's first scene shows her practicing waterbending, actually, but she is entirely self-trained at the start, so lacking in skill and finesse.

@Malcontent79: Start with Player of Games. It's one of the better novels in the series, and by far the best choice to start with.

@ding-dang: Hmm? Wait, Shyamalan didn't write the source material for this. Don't know if he makes a cameo appearance, but he's not in any major role that I've heard.

@Neoistheone2000: This is planned as a trilogy, last I heard, assuming the first does well.

@Razoky: "It's bad when a show kills off the only people you are interested in. Now that Joshua is dead, I don't have any characters that I even care about."

I frankly wouldn't mind if they cut all else and just focused on Anna, Lisa, Tyler, and Erica. That's 90% of my interest, right there.

@tselby: This is certainly a big deal, but not as big as it sounds. The hack occurred last year, remember? I don't recall the net collapsing in the interim. And over the long run, my money is on Google's engineers versus the PRC's hackers.

@unixblackhole: When I clicked to download the portable version and found myself on Hotfile... yeah, I felt the irony. :D

@404notfound: Just the very simple captchas, like those used by Megaupload, I think.

@GlennA: Oh, I see. Yeah, I love PortableApps too. :)

@styfle: You might suggest better alternatives to those "sketchy" websites... ;)
