@planetarian: It's not even XP-standard. It's *Win2000*-and-older standard.

@Phoshi: Last we checked, the universe did not terminate at Earth's boundary. Why are we non-Terran intelligences denied?!

@JCMasterpiece: Or, "government funding is directed to small private-citizen groups that share the administration's values."

@TheMightyBuzzard: Side Me tries to recall evidence that "dictatorship over an armed populace" has ever worked... zilch.

@unknownsoldierx: Well, I think the reason for that is that Microsoft has made .doc its own proprietary word processing file format. In contrast, .odt is an open file format that everyone can use.

@FabronWombat: Mozy already offers 2GB free-for-life, or 2.25GB through a referrer link.

@iputty: Dropbox is working on alternate install locations, though I haven't heard of a (simple) way to make multiple separate folders sync.

@kikolani: Regarding "Let the Right One In", the movie and book are both strong, though I actually liked the movie better myself. The story is equally creepy and touching. The book is more disturbing, while the film is more succinct.

@owenl1998: Er, I don't think Google has ever competed directly with Skype before.

@vlatro: Hey, where would we be without dreams? :)

@rfjson: I don't know how that works with the standalone installer, but I'd consider the updater to be an integral part of the software.

@nortexoid: Well, that's what this is.

@lamintak: Have you tried portable Notepad++?

@kde4lover001: I wish people would grow up and realize teh 3vi1 GOOG is not spying on you through Chrome. v_v

@Rubleaux: I just realized it right now, and couldn't care less.

@ArmoredCavalry: Yeah. If you can fix the problem yourself, great. If you can't, then you're in position to complain.

@x68507: I don't get this. You'd rather have no new features rather than some? It's not like it's forced on you, or buggy either.

@natenovs: When I unexpectedly lose my connection, Gears seems to work fine for me...
