I say, we must move forward, not backward; upward, not forward; and always twirling, twirling, twirling towards freedom!

I post using a Disqus account, will that account transfer to Kinja or are you only transferring AV Club accounts?

I live in Chicago so I plan on covering myself in peanut butter and standing outside The AV Club's offices with a sign that says Great Job, Internet! That'll show them!

I love how it's 'Let's talk about The A.V. Club switching to Kinja' as opposed to 'Let's not talk about The AV Club switching to Kinja because we closed the comments and are afraid of criticism'.

Hacker jail consists of the hackers watching 80s and 90s movies that involve hacking (but really it's just people opening up the command console and typing in random shit) until they go insane.

Yeah, a lot of hackers are hired by Silicon Valley companies to work on security measures.

Yes. It is the type of content the AV Club thinks its users want to see. This, food reviews, and great job, internets!

*sighs*

That was okay. Not as wowed as everyone else. The cave drawings was hysterical, I halfway expected Jon to subtly throw a piece of chalk into the ocean when on her way to show Dany the ancient drawings. The battle itself was fine. Just fine. The giant crossbow was dumb and not too suspenseful, same with pretty much

That's idiotic hate. 'Even though this music is phenomenal, they're a bunch of old straight white guys with guitars so I hate it'

I like his penis

Am I out of touch? No, it's the children who are wrong!

"Why does every dialogue tree that pops up have an option to yell 'Why did you say that name?!'"

It's like the Sarah Palin email 'hack '. You weren't hacked Sarah, you were just dumb enough to have your security questions be about stuff that's public knowledge.

So there's no reason for him to be there other than to progress the plot, a plot he is a part of which changes pretty drastically based on his actions? He wasn't invited to 'round out the numbers', he's a highly feared character in A Song of Ice and Fire and not some Jack Welker late addition deus ex machina.

Disagree. He's a great character that was introduced far too late into the series so the showrunners have to have him over the top. It's pretty clear from the books and how things are playing out now he was supposed to be a big role and crucial to the end game. Showrunners likely fucked up when they opted to show

He's not beating Theon to death. He'll refrain since Theon saved Sansa or something. Theon's going to be important to the endgame somehow and it will likely involve overcoming Euron.

Euron Greyjoy's been smiling like crazy all season. He's the only one who seems to enjoy living in Westeros. Good for him.

It's similar to my annoyance when critics were praising Bioshock for its narrative, gameplay mechanics, and environments. All of that was incredibly derivative and even watered down from System Shock 2 and it felt like many critics were giving undue praise without acknowledging or understanding the major influences.

My absolute favorite 'walking simulator' is Proteus. A lot of people don't care for it but god exploring that island with the seasons changing, the tiny little scenes that play out, finding secrets and so on is so damn relaxing and rewarding. I've played that game twice for a total of about 2 hours but I have fonder
