Savage.

Buying a Honda Insight is still the worst decision he’s ever made, a problem somehow solved by the second worst decision he’s ever made.

Same reason a 737 has a blunt front side and a F22 has a sharp nose— we’re talking low speed aero here. The goal is to efficiently channel air around the car and not to stab through it. The frontal area of the car stays the same whether it sharpens to a point on the ground or is a blunt brick.

Not an aerodynamics expert either, but I’m guessing it has more to do with pedestrian impact regulations in Europe. They result in large, blunt front ends to spread out the impact area on a person’s legs. Just look at all the recent Mercedes cars. Not sure they can make a sleek front end and still meet those regs.

Relax. It’s called a refresh for a reason.

I don’t think anybody will claim it’s all new, since it’s just a very minor refresh.
