supporting GMOs does not mean I support Monsanto. The whole business of not letting farmers keep seeds from their crops among other practices is awful

I have seen no evidence at all that it causes negative effects. We have been eating this stuff for years. And I think the "being able to feed more people" is a benefit we shouldn't gloss over. That's an enormous positive to GMOs for me.
I'm a "crunchy mom" too! Cloth diapered, breastfed, made all of his purees from scratch, have a little garden - as much as our little West Philly home will allow us. But damn, I'm not a dummy!
i even have atheist friends who claim religious exemption so their kid can go to school unvaccinated
the BEST part is being pro-vax and your son being diagnosed with autism! I felt some unspoken "you gave your baby autism" horribleness
it scares the hell out of me. and often, when I hear someone is anti-vax I say a little atheist prayer, "Please don't say you're vegan," and I just cringe if they do. They make us look like fucking idiots.
yep. know a couple of those. :(
I understand that being anti-GMO isn't just for vegans, but it's a value the overwhelming majority of vegans share.
I would say the worst part of being vegan is that naturally a lot of your friends are anti-vax, anti-fluoride, anti-GMO nutjobs.
I grew up in abject poverty and my partner of 9 years was a rich kid and I have been accused several times, by friends and family, of being with him for his money which really hurts. What's weird is that we live very simply! We don't have a car or cable while our friends and family all do! But we can, like, take…
Of course, if she gets pregnant they will deem her too young to make decisions about her own body.
My father was 41 when he began courting my mother. She was 16. Do I win anything?
I hear ya, and like I said, it seems odd, but Amarillo and Lubbock (both of which I have called home, unfortunately) are considered West Texas.
Amarillo is in West Texas. I know it seems odd, but it's true.
Signed,
An Amarillo native
I swear, some of these comments are so selfish and cold-hearted with no thought to the geese and that geese are here for us to use, they sound like they could come from MRA's. People who are up in arms that men think women are valueless, stupid and here for men to use and abuse, are talking about these geese in the…
wool is just as cruelly obtained. :(
Yeah, I live in Philly and some West Texas blizzards where it got down to -20F and never wore down or fur. All the cold hearts around here make me sad.
When talking about supplying enough down for coats, pillows and blankets all over the world, I highly doubt that demand could possibly be met by people going into goose nests and gingerly pulling out feathers. compared to just easily forcing a small animal down and ripping the feathers out by handfuls, why would a…
No, taking another event out of context to twist it to try and suit your point is the straw man. I was pointing out that while you are spewing suck vitriol at me for some reason, that I am clearly not the only one who has experienced men going apeshit when denied phone numbers and have been forced to resort to shady…
Take your useless straw man arguments somewhere else, "pimp" and stop trying to tell me how to feel and behave when you have absolutely NO experience with it. NONE. And you never will.
