If you can accept that some people can be born left-handed, or with a particular sexual orientation — even though there’s no definitive proof of where the cause lies — why can’t you accept the possiblity that some people can be born with a particular sexual identity/bodymap coded into the brain that may or may not be

“I like to be modest and I like to keep my dignity. I like to know the purpose of my life. I like to live a healthy lifestyle and avoid harmful things.”

I’ve received and dismissed a reply basically saying “this is all just because trans people whine and complain that they have to appear in everything. Just like every other race/color/sexuality.” It’s reproduced from memory because I didn’t think to comment about it before I dismissed it, but that’s the baffling gist.

It’s not just that one instance (which is a problem for the reasons commenter Ghost articulately describes).

I don’t think people are reading too much into the transgender scene; too often, transgender individuals are always asked about “the transition”, or “So how hard was it to adjust not living like a man/woman/previous gender?”, followed up by parallels like “so THAT’S why you’re so strong - because you were a man!” or

Whew yeah. That’s, that’s pretty not-good. Kinda like they went down the list of tropes:

Your statement is beautifully written and serves to educate many-”Many, many trans people (especially trans women of color) do not have an ally that can correct the misgendering for them beyond the grave, and their true selves are lost to ignorance”. Some people don’t understand that Monica is who she was. That is the

The police used incorrect pronouns and an incorrect name to identify her - in death, her correct and real gender is erased by people who should know better.

Because the police are using her former name and male pronouns.

It’s completely unfair how trans people are so disrespected in life and death. How much does it cost to use someone’s proper name and pronouns?

I’m glad you’re finally able to be who you truly are.

This is exactly why I am so torn about this. I love Laverne Cox and I’m stoked to see her get a lead in such an iconic project. BUT, it doesn’t really make sense. The thought of her singing “I’m just a sweet transvestite” makes me cringe.

Eh, I got to 200 dwellers, beating back Deathclaws wasn’t a problem, enough people had 10 in important stats, and I gave up and moved on when MGSV came out. Uninstalled it. Didn’t have enough to keep me coming back for any reason other than trying to get every item (which I didn’t care about).

I am totally envious of their voices and lack of facial hair

Oh hey look, it's the childhood I was robbed of!

I'm more embarassed for these people who apparently can't recognize that it's just her pubic hair.

I totally agree. I thought I had it hard growing up (see hair do in profile pic) lol BUT in all seriousness I wish you the best.

That really makes me sad.

Well, I figured I'd hop in (as I am mentioned in the article).
