I think the CGI Beetle was better than the Star Wars commercial. Just looked up spy shots of the new Beetle, although with the current front and rear ends on the new shape. Looks cool, but still for the ladies. Getting a 210BHP 2.0 litre here in the EU.

It all depends on what your definition of death ray is. You could get a gun and stick a source of Gamma radiation in the barrel and it could be called a death ray.

If you drive that manual 1.4 correctly you should be able to get MPG easily into the 40's. Although your gallon is less than our gallon.
