The only way I see the iPhone falling off its pedestal is (or when) everyone but the dog has one, making people want something different.

This would have the same appeal as the apple monitors. Incredibly beautiful, but not worth the "apple tax". Now the apple TV box, as described, not the one we have, would be a great competitor to other media players.

I have an alternative to the Google map. Take a photo. Most iPhones (and smartphones) have location services. The pin drops automatically on Google maps, and as a bonus you remember exactly where the car is.
