Thank goodness CD's are a dying breed, or else they'd see my *cough* backups the wrong way.

@Dogen: I think it would be complimentary. The infrastructure is there, just accessing it would be different. Most EMR's are windows programs. What I use I can acces it via Web Page (MySQL I think it uses), so even a smarthpone is able to access it. It is pretty bare and all text, but it works. I can only dream of

@Dogen: Sir, that is my point exactly. Hospitals are very busy behind the counters, and this would greatly reduce the time doing rounds.

@JEmlay: The benefit would lie on the ease of access trough out a hospital. We won't need to wait for everyone to finish with a terminal to acceses records. The iPad would work as well, but something that recognizes handwriting would be so much better. And you know how godawful our penmanship is.

You have to bear in mind that next year is the deadline for all medical records to be electronic. This is a huge market IMO, and they sure as hell don't want to miss out on this business.

@vein11: Car games and side scrollers are an example of it. They are so much better with a controller. But FPS, are keyboard+mouse

@Destinysface: My Aria says; "Shut up, it's not the OS"

@talkingstove: You bring tears to my eyes. I remember T1 + Audiogalaxy= Musical glory. Later, only oink filled me with joy, but that went to hell as well.

I don't think this info shows the real interval for oil changes. New cars manual state at least 7,500 miles between oil changes (BMW goes as far as a year). Of course the dealer won't tell you that because they'd be losing money.

I think this a the machine that LAYS the tracks. A tank lays it's own tracks, it's faster and has a gun.

@lindsayk: No worries, I'll gladly oblige. Blood pressure is no a constant, but it's a reflection of the body. Imagine a hose in a knot, it's "pressure" will rise. Same works here, kidneys, arteries and the heart play a role as causes and as the effectors of BP. If you have pain, you run or any activity, your body

Superman has Kryptonite room?? Nice

@infmom: You should see that getting worse once all medical records go electronic on 2012. They "lawyer-proof" them. VA (veterans affair) systems are setup like this and it's sometimes a pain. (pun intended)

@lindsayk: Remember that pain is the most difficult aspect of our job. We want to treat, but we need to treat what causes it too. It doesn't have a set rhythm, it can show up whenever, so it needs closer monitoring. Blood pressure rises due to pain, so that is another reason. If you are that 5-10 % of patients that

How would the snooze work on this thing??

@infmom: That's standard procedure on almost all pharmacies. You really need to know if you are getting better or not after 3 months. That's why it's the worst job of all, we need to rely on others in order to do our job.

I advise against the prescription tip. When a Doctor gives a prescription, he is thinking of a process that those pills will help alleviate. If a medication is for long term diseases (High blood pressure, diabetes), I just write refill times 3, otherwise we need to check the PROGRESS or REGRESS of a disease. That is

@tastypotatoes: You don't need the polarizer for anything, any filter will do, you just need a filter to attach to the camera.

@Nitesh Singh: The HIV virus attacks specifically the CD4 (histocompatibility complex class II) cells of the T-cells. B cells are the producers of antibodies. Basically, the cd4 are the recruiters of CD8 (cytotoxic) and antibodies to help fight infections. For HIV to become AIDS you need to have one of these: CD4
