For all its faults, I'm still with this show and hope it gets picked up for a second season, but I am not optimistic. What is it about shows centered on a strong female lead(s) that people won't watch them? (See also Agent Carter, Good Girls Revolt.) Gee, is there an analogy there for something else? No, don't

THE MUSIC MAN. Harold Hill = Trump, town rubes = America. Harold Hill's "think" method of teaching music = Trump's plan for doing…anything he doesn't know anything about (which is everything).

Off-brand Hemsworth - the head of security guy.

He was captivated by Maeve. And more than a little afraid of her. I mean, wouldn't you be?

Which is why Felix makes such a "terrible human." Felix may be acting like an idiot from ta purely survivalist point of view, but he is showing greater empathy than any other human besides Ford.

So while I called that Ford was orchestrating a grand purge of the board via a reenactment of the "Wyatt" massacre (although I thought it would be Maeve leading the rebellion), I thought he was doing it so he could be left alone to run the park as he wanted. At the same time I kept thinking there was no way Anthony

I predicted they'd both be dead by the end of the season, but it looks like Harris isn't gone quite yet.

What was the point of having Dolores beat up the Man in Black only to be killed by him again?

Nope, I agree with the reviewer. It was fun as a mind tease, but it did keep us (or at least some of us) at a distance in a way that made it hard to be emotionally invested. And I also agree the whole arc of William becoming Man in Black was abrupt and not as compelling as it should have been…and way too reminiscent

So that ocean…was it "real"? I'm still very confused by the geography of Westworld.

All part of Ford's plan, I guess? Seems a bit unnecessarily convoluted though.

Whoops, yes, you're right - it was HBO too - thanks for the catch. Edited now.

"I taste wine." Somehow you just knew it would be Tiffany and Molly being all wine-snobby…

This is what my husband thinks, too, but I always got the impression Teddy was a newer model who didn't come along until after the young-William events. I mean, we've never seen him in the William scenes, have we?

I'm wondering if Ford is going to re-stage the massacre (w/ Wyatt and/or Teddy playing the role previously played by Dolores) to wipe out all of Delos? So it can just be him and his creations - who are all under his control?

A-fucking-men. I didn't think season 7 was great, but thought it was miles better than season 6, which I thought was the worst season by far.

Logan Lerman is the counterexample.

Biggest douche of them all. Though hot, yes.

So is Bernard derived from Arnold, a theory I've seen getting increasing traction among fans? I noticed that when Bernard asked if any of his memories of his wife, son, etc., were real, Ford didn't exctly answer yes or no; just said a back story was important for hosts. Maybe those memories were Arnold's.

This seemed like a kind of pointless episode (I dozed off) and the show seems to be losing steam…but I can't help feeling residual affection for it anyway. The characters are mostly well drawn and well acted; it's just the plotting that is, well, uneven at best and downright hokey at worst.
