Plus A.I., Ex Machina, and of course more than a dash of Blade Runner.

Sidse Babett Knudsen, Danish actress. Watch her in the TV series Borgen, Denmark's answer to our West Wing & possible partial inspiration for Madam Secretary. It's fantastic, and she's fantastic in it.
Yeah, I wish she'd just keep her usual northern European-sounds-British accent. It's definitely distracting.
Hm, that's a possibility (and would be a good punchline to that running gag), but there was just a longer beat than usual in which Guilfoyle sized him up before responding. Though I guess that could cut either way
Is there a better deadpan than Guilfoyle's? I think not.
So…do *you* think Martha's attractive?
Gah, totally forgot about that…you're right! I really do need to see Angels in America (the miniseries, I mean; seen the play).
Side note: Jeffrey Wright continues to be one of those actors who seems at once (deservedly) respected yet at the same time perpetually underrated. I feel like he should have been in the talk for Oscar or Emmy at some point in his career…but I guess he never got the right role.
Gooding was not a lead. (As Pilot and other reviewers have pointed out, O.J. isn't really the main subject of this series. In a way, he wasn't at the actual trial, either.)
Maybe it's about the Danzinger bridge shootings: https://en.wikipedia.org/wi…
This show just keeps getting better and better. I think it may be the best thing on TV I'm watching right now (although that may change when THE AMERICANS returns tomorrow). And I think this has been the best episode so far. It helped that *everyone* brought their A game - I mean Paulson, Vance, and Brown always…
The question is, if he hadn't gone for it, would it have made a difference?
Yikes, that terrifies me, considering how tedious I found To the Wonder. And I *loved* Tree of Life!
But, Blue Valentine director: +1 million points
And Alicia Vikander: +1 million points
Aha, thanks!
Who's the dude in the screencap? He looks so familiar but I can't place him.
Most of those films, while excellent, are not really comedies. But that reminds me that "The Wedding Banquet," "Eat Drink Man Woman," and maybe eventhe more recent "Chi-Raq" all deserve consideration.
If you're gonna have a runner-up for the letter C, "Clueless" >>>>>>>>>>> "The Cutting Edge" (which isn't even much of a comedy anyway).
My favorite as well, and also one of the best Shakespeare-to-film adaptations ever, IMO.
I haven't seen this, surprised to hear it's good and maybe I will tune in…but I still think they should have cast the Rock as O.J.
