I kind of missed the hate until I actually started to pay attention to Twitter and still don’t understand it

To me, the most startling thing I read was when people who watched the show were surveyd, Carole Baskin was viewed most unfavorably by a wide margin. Cult Leader Doc Antle and Scam Master Jeff Lowe received much better grades than she did. The second most unfavorable character? Her husband Howard.
True, but the difficulty with circumstantial evidence is that it requires a more balanced approach. If the show had provided at least some information why law enforcement couldn’t take their claims as truth, which has been reported elsewhere, then there would be more honest weight given to that circumstantial…
No. I am with her. The heart of the story is the abuse of cats, and I was watching it and felt that there are obvious connections between this, how people think of other people, the exploitative nature of capitalism and how concentration camps are not that far away from what it is showing. Why the hell is the…
Also not for nothing, but Big Cat Rescue has a 4 star rating on charity navigator, where you can see all their financials broken down and whatnot, and their YouTube channel actually explains things like the feeding chutes and such. To frame BCR like it’s the same as these private zoos is honestly pretty misleading
Yeah, I find it weird that the documentary left out the fact that Joe killed his tigers when they got too old until the last episode.
To my shock, I’m kind of with Baskin here. I mean there is a larger discussion to be had about volunteer work and to what extent it is ethical to rely on it. However, the more I’ve read on Baskin and everything related to her, the show really did her wrong. Much more than, again at least based on what I’ve seen…
I wonder how the fuck folks come off this show feeling any sympathy to Joe Exotic. Like, the documentary cuts some of the shit he did or reveals it only towards the end (like his killing of tigers, for one, which the podcast Joe Exotic covers more of) and yet he’s still portrayed as a total piece of human garbage who…
Having Demi as a roommate must have taught Gabe a lot.
Don’t forget the sequel https://theconcourse.deadspin.com/the-adults-in-the-room-1837487584
Forgot one:
Reminds me of a guy I knew named Suckboi Powerbottom-Fuckmasheen. As you can imagine, his patients (he was a doctor) always got a kick out of it. He’d say things like “I’m Dr. Powerbottom-Fuckmasheen, it’s a pleasure to meet you.” He was a real joker. Anyway, he died tragically when a truck carrying vibrating dildos…
Not to be puerile, but... Back in my youth, a kid with the last name Dick was on the opposing little league team. The game announcer over the PA called, “Jones up, Smith’s on deck, and Dick’s in the hole.”
The accuracy makes it evergreen.
Well, she should’ve brought enough for everybody.
23and me doesn’t sequence you genome. They use microarrays to identify SNP sites (one nucleotide differences in certain sites). It’s much less informative (only tells you what you are looking for) technique but it’s much cheaper so you can get be genotyped for 100 bucks.
I met her in a bog down in old Sylthom
Word on the street is that her teacher made her spit it out.
23andme is basically a rip-off. They use substandard techniques for sequencing genomes. What these scientists used is far more accurate.
