Willful ignorance is believing a religious studies class is going to stop children from bullying others based on their religion instead of being a monumental waste of time and borderline illegal in American public schools (considering the fact that you can't cover every single religion practiced in the world).

I don't remember my teachers teaching me Bible verses so I could understand Shakespearean references to them, or references in the Canterbury Tales and I understood the texts just fine, as did my classmates.
