Dude, chill. I’ve read Pride and Prejudice many times and majored in English Literature at one of the best programs in the world. I like the 2005 version better. I think it’s a better film. Also, if you wanna talk about inaccuracies:

I think the 2005 version is a better adaptation - sure it’s not as long as the BBC version, but it does a lot of subtle things that only film can do.

This was a cute movie and book. Though her obsession with Colin Firth’s Mr. Darcy is totally misplaced because Matthew Macfadyen is where it’s at.

They had a short run of dolls/books called Girls of Many Lands which I loved back in the day. The majority were WOC characters, which was awesome.

I loved AG books. I was fortunate enough to have one doll - Felicity - but I read all of the books for all the characters. Historical fiction was my jam. Does anyone else remember the Girls of Many Lands line of dolls they did? I remember liking those a lot too.

I think the thing is she writes no worse than the usual airplane “dude” books, but her stuff is considered trash and the guy stuff is considered literature.
