I'm so grateful I work for a large enough company that we have cleaning people hired specifically to do this. I hope you were able to get overtime or something comparable because you deserve more than a whiny dudebro yelling at you.

Proposals already have way too much pressure imposed on them, so heck no to V-Day engagements.

I insist on making "guy" gender neutral in my everyday vernacular. It's gender neutral in the plural, why not make it gender neutral in the singular?

I was not a fan of Danny in this episode. Buying a house without telling your SO first? Not okay. Not romantic. See also Luke/Lorelai and the Twickham house drama.

The bottle cap palette is genius. Also, I've learned that I need to just shell out the $5 for a dotting tool. This is an investment I am okay making.

The more I think about a gender swapped Sex and the City, the more I am intrigued. I'm just picturing a dude obsessed with shoes and his tumultuous relationship with a powerful, wealthy, commitment-phobe lady in a power suit.

I think it's just that it's also medically unnecessary, purely done for aesthetics. Also, dogs use their tails to communicate (mostly things like OMG I LOVE YOU I LOVE BALLS LET ME SNIFF YOUR BUTT) so I imagine taking them away impacts their communication. But I'm not an expert, so I dunno for sure.

Yup, I'm fine with this being banned. We should also add ear and tail docking to the list too, while we're at it.

Every year I tell myself the Oscars don't really matter (like, 90% of the voting panel is old, male, and white) but I still get frustrated when certain films don't get the recognition they deserve.

I always thought that Heathcliff and Catherine were supposed to be awful people on purpose, and as such deserved each other in a way? But you're right, that romance has totally been idealized for who knows what reason.

Would watch.

This is definitely one the perks of being married.

These stories are fascinating and remind me of that Gillian Flynn quote - about how she likes to show the dark side of women. Whether they're historical or fictional, it's important to tell and write about the variety of women's lived experiences.

That's so rude. None of them even checked with you to clarify? Like, weddings are the kinds of events you just don't bring extra people too, including/especially children.

I agree with this mostly. My only caveat is that the one kid at my wedding was my one year old niece, and while she fussed a bit and made her mom (my brother in law's fiancee) miss part of the ceremony (lame) she did end up throwing up on my sister's scummy ex-boyfriend during the reception (karma).

Did you watch the first season of Halt and Catch Fire? It's great, and I can't wait for season two. Lee Pace is just so ridiculously good looking.

Exactly. Plus, I hate how they paired her "I don't really think about it" with the factoid about her being married for a year. Like, those two things don't necessarily go together.

That's awful. Like, not even "we'll laugh about this someday way in the future" as most wedding mishaps usually go.
