I tend to find King’s writing a little bland and pedestrian personally, but his dialog, pacing and storytelling are sometimes excellent... makes for great films. Same with Crichton(sp?)... I agree with the overall premise that books are generally better than movies, but there are a ton of novels I’ll never read

Let it go, Toasterlad. It’s Kinjatown.

... and to think there’s some good people still stuck in the grey

I know you posted this to be like, SEEE THE NEGROS ARE STEALING!!!!!111!!!

“In this novel, a heroic, righteous officer of the law spends decades chasing an evil, criminal fugitive who used a fake identity to hide in plain sight and even stole a loaf of bread when he was hungry. That criminal was a thief and deserved to be punished.”

Fight club, Shawshank Redemption, Trainspotting are the three that come immediately to mind for me... I’d throw Jurassic Park in there too...

The Natural.

What might be a good try for you is Thistly Cross, Its a cider thats brewed in scotch casks.

Sad-faving :(

The Godfather by Mario Puzo: come for the Mafia intrigue and characters from the movie, stay for the lovingly detailed descriptions of finger-blasting and Sonny’s gigantic schlong!

Crash is a better movie than book. I’m speaking of Cronenburg’s movie and Ballard’s book. Quite possibly the only time I’ve found that to be unarguably true.

As much as actors love “speaking out” and “taking a stand” on various uncontroversial-in-Hollywood issues, it’s actually generally rare to see someone do so in a way that might tangibly affect their career. While I’m sure this dude lives a more comfortable life than most of us, he’s hardly a star, and he just turned

Well, it doesn’t have to be ... but it can be.

To be perfectly honest, I liked this meme better when the picture was hidden behind a link.
