Concentrating on a new Silent Hill perhaps?

I've had this same thought as I build and sell models on a stock 3d model site. The conclusion I've come to is that the learning curve for placing blocks in minecraft is essentially zero, while the curve for learning a 3d package and or game engine to place it in is pretty staggering.
