For the most car, a car is a luxury item. You could argue in some places it’s a necessity, however, a $12k mitsubishi will work just as well as a $50k benz if all you need is to get to work. Not to mention depreciation.

This is going to blow your mind.... There are decent cars for less than 10 grand. Also, if you buy a new car, the loss in value over the life of the loan will negate most if not all of your investment gain.

If we just read more books we could buy all the cars we wanted without ever thinking about interest rates.
