Yes, this show could be a lot better, but because it is predicated on such an outlandish premise — A US attorney's main target (for obviously a substantial amount of time) happens to have his wife under that target's employ. Chuck's wife states "I was working there before we were even married." How the hell did these

If he wanted to "escape the hell of his own making," the carved inscription would have been "J. M. was here" instead of "S.G. was here." The "S.G." shows that he is just missing his old scamming life… not Kim or any life of truth or redemption.

To that guy — those nerdy-type collectors/hoarders that we all know and love — the drugs were the "minor" loss… He can always easily get a lot more of those. But, a Willy Mays or Hank Aaron without a bent corner? That was the biggest loss he could imagine! He has no emotional connection to any bag of drugs.

I think the show could be better, but to me, the writers' insecurity comes across pretty strongly… as though they are unsure of the viability of the plot line… "Quick, let's just gratuitously throw in some 'edgy' sex talk and a scene with Maggie Siff in lingerie just in case the audience is getting fidgety."

I don't think we're supposed to cheer the new-money assholes or the old money assholes… We're supposed to be entertained by the machinations of scripted moneyed assholes… and then sit back in our heavily mortgaged houses with overpriced cable bills and our meager 401ks and say, "Wow, I'm not rich, but I'm still cooler

"Oh Ed, it's just a flying saucer. We gotta go."

No, he's never shown that to us viewers, but… Dodd was probably an excellent "employee" under the right leadership (i.e., his father), but he has no leadership skills himself… His fearless, cavalier, and cruel nature was probably perfect for carrying out heinous "plans," but only if he is held in check by the right

Bear was beating on Dodd. All Hanzee did was restore order, which was the prudent move. It didn't signify he agreed with Dodd; he just didn't agree with Bear's reaction at that point.

I think Hanzee was much more loyal to the Gerhardt family in general than Dodd specifically. Hanzee may have turned to a life of crime after returning from Vietnam — As a Native-American Vietnam vet, he probably had lot of problems finding meaning, purpose, and respect after returning to the States.

Man, I just hope Mike Milligan and the Kitchen bro are tipping the housekeeping staff in that motel appropriately!

You may indeed be correct, but… "He's not going out like that." — if this show was any other standard Hollywood drama, I would agree with you, but the Coen Bros never play to expectation or cliche.

I know it's now less than a week before we all find out, but…

Interesting analogy here.

Now that's some well-reasoned analysis right there.

Good point. It's often common for all politicians when formulating a response to any difficult situation described by a constituent to begin with an "I feel your pain"-type premise… no matter how far-fetched. I do believe this quality was a bit more pronounced with Reagan because he always had an actor's delivery.

Someone had to deliver the head of Joe Bulo to Mike Milligan.

Given what we know about a "massacre" at Sioux Falls, I'd say Kansas City will be sending in the the heavy artillery at this point… especially now that a key "manager" in the organization has been killed. I don't think Mike Milligan could step up to Joe Bulo's role — Bulo was more of the "politician"/manager while
