With this new screen, Apple have gotten rid of their one and only advantage over Android: lack of fragmentation. New screen size = fragmentation, and now they're no better than Android. Thanks Apple, for the phones I've owned, but goodbye from me.

I do the opposite. I have a script to always use 720p when available, so then it buffers in HD straight away, instead of buffering first, then again in HD

I like buying my books in physical form, then *ahem* acquiring an eBook for my Kobo/Nexus 7/iPhone. That way, the author gets their share, and I get the book in any format I care to use at the time I want to read, and I have something to put on my bookshelf.

That's what I was thinking. Just throw 8 out, then release an actually good next version, just to continue the good,bad,good,bad cycle

I love the idea, but it shouldn't be on by default. Too many people will connect to wifi and start downloading updates and the like, and not realise it's eating into their data.

I use the Griffin Form Elan. Seems a bit flimsy, but always has protected my phone, even after drop after drop. Lasted 9 months before meeting it's end being dropped on a plate. RIP, but I've just ordered another.

I probably am heavy handed, but the trackpad's one of my major qualms with MacBooks.
