Reading comprehension. I didn’t say -me-, I said -plenty of people-. I’m mixed, I try not to harbor racial prejudices, and I don’t live in the States. I’m pointing out that the attitude of having a blanket disdain for people of a certain race - regardless of your own race - is a shitty attitude. Apply the golden rule

For the record, I don’t feel that way. I’m not racist. Plenty of people are, though — such as yourself. “Glad I didn’t have to interact with any [insert race here] people today.” I don’t care where your grandparents were from. If that’s your attitude, I don’t like you.

So what I’m hearing you say is “a political party might represent a threat to us in the future! We must create a racially pure army in preparation for the imminent war!”

Ah, the arms race mentality. Realizing it had infected almost every aspect of society was partly why I got the hell out of the States.

Just make that shit illegal. If you want to shoot squirrels on your own property with a licensed gun, or pretend to be a ninja and film yourself chopping soda bottles in half with a sword, fine. Just don’t go marching on public land with a weapon.

I was lucky today. Didn’t have to deal with any white folks directly.

Desecrating the graves of hundreds of thousands of peoples’ ancestors is probably not the best way to push for parity in the present.

I can get behind that. Chisel off the words but let the art itself remain. A bronze statue of a man riding a horse isn’t white or black or racist or anything else if you remove the words. It’s just a bronze statue of a man riding a horse (or whatever).

Remove the plaque / inscription but leave the monuments. They’re still works of art. Replace the inscriptions with something like “man riding horse, by Jim Smith, bronze and granite”. Then you still have a place for the pigeons to perch, without the racist / white supremacist message.

“those cities should be burned to the ground”

Each of the few times I’ve had to call on the cops for help, I’ve been harassed and threatened. Having light skin is not a shield against the police - it just reduces the chances you’ll be a victim of racist cops.

The important question to ask is “why would...” not “why should...

Pair those with a t-shirt and it might be okay. Pair shorts with a suit jacket and you look like an asshole.

Australia, New Zealand, Fiji, Mexico, Bahamas, Canada, Costa Rica, El Salvador = people wearing shorts. Will get back to you on Vietnam and other countries I’m visiting soon. Expecting to see shorts where it’s hot, pants where it’s cold / culturally repressive.

Get out of here with your facts.

I’ve never looked a woman in the eye

There are a few tacky beach towns; these suck all the tourists up so the locals can enjoy the legit beach towns.

The Dornish are an interbreeding of Rhoynar, Andals, and First Men — not the Summer Islanders. While the Rhoynar culture covered a vast swath of Essos, it’s noted their culture is partially inspired by the Ancient Greeks, and even the northernmost of the Rhoynar would have only lived about as far north in Essos as the

Without having to reframe it as a Liberty vs. Tyranny debate, it’s pretty cut and dry to say that government is within its scope by regulating the extent to which companies can peddle highly addictive carcinogens. People should be free to grow their own tobacco, sure. Companies should probably not be free to be

While sugar can be ‘addictive’ it’s nowhere near as addictive as nicotine. In a nation with millions of diabetics (a growing number) and skyrocketing obesity, yes, regulating the sucrose and fructose content of processed foods and beverages is a practical measure.
