Dear everyone who is sarcastic/confused at the $28k figure:
The graphic at the top actually says "employees", as opposed to "jobs created". So assuming the label is not misleading, the number of total jobs created should be quite a bit higher.
I don't understand your argument. Individual workers are not building batteries by hand. Assisted by machines and with different employees specializing in certain parts of the assembly, it should be reasonable to believe that the ratio of batteries produced to number of employees could be arbitrarily large.
"lost complete control" is not the same as "completely lost control", in other words, they still had some control left.
Excellent. That makes a lot more sense, as the RGB subsructure would account for all 14 million LEDs on a display with that resolution. So the claim that the resolution was "1080p" is incorrect.
I just checked on the map and it looks like you're right; the stadium appears to be more than 1000' across, so I guess it's not an issue.
14 million LEDs to push 1080p? So 7 LEDs per pixel? I can't imagine how they're using that many (or conversely, how the resolution is so low). The only real guess I have is that each pixel is individually backlit and they're using an RGBW substructure, which the closeup photo does not corroborate.
5th: No. More competition never hurt anyone. When you reach a critically small number of players in a market, like cell phone and internet providers are now, everyone starts to lose, because price fixing no longer requires illegal collusion and simply happens naturally. Then innovation slows because without any need…
Reverse: That's A Bummer
The fully functional system is now production ready and could be fitted to every Audi model in the range subject to the necessary government legislation. It was actively demonstrated recently on the busy Las Vegas freeways in an Audi A6 Saloon as part of a trailblazing technology display at the Consumer Electronics…

Hi there, your friendly resident not-actually-Japanese person here with a public service announcement that while "hazumi" and "跳" both mean to "spring" or "bound" (as in leaping), the latter is actually pronounced "haneru". The choice of incorrect kanji is most likely being used for poetic effect.
That is all.
You do realize that it's been almost 5 years since Tesla received taxpayer money, and they've already paid it all back, right? Or are you just trolling?
Wouldn't that be "Selfsatisfactionista"?
All of my money is on SkyActiv + Kodo. Just sayin'.
While MIATAAAA is technically correct, I think totalnewbie's comment is more helpful. The stress on the middle syllable is simply a side-effect of general Japanese pronunciation rules and doesn't even sound stressed when spoken accentlessly. And as a native English speaker who has been studying Japanese for most of a…
With all due respect, statistics is completely invalid with numbers this small. When you're talking about "three" out of 5000+, there's no way of knowing that it's not an outlier. Maybe the actual chance of catching fire is 0.000001% and it just happened to be these three. Maybe the chance is 99% and all those other…
I know I'm not going to help any, but 凸 is one of the few remaining true pictographs in Japanese, and generally means "convex". However, in this case it was probably picked because it can be pronounced "deko" (kind of like deck). Unfortunately, with this pronunciation it also means "forehead". The jokes just keep…
