@Robusto68: I think you are the arrogant one here. As stated elsewhere its not an easy switch in every day life, it would cost billions to change over. Hence why England still uses miles and some other of the imperial system.

@Dynasty99: At least someone on here reads the article and doesn't attack America for the sake of it. I work at NIST. The only people who might use imperial here would be the contractors that put together desks or something. All scientific work is in metric.
