There are actually some cool things here, we have 3 breweries now and only 1 of them is terrible, and we also have some great restaurants...but yeah I will concede your point, the traffic sucks, and if your just here on vacation there isn’t much too it but the beach, traffic, and shopping. Don’t get me wrong, I absolutely love Texas, I go back several times a year. But the beaches are terrible. Padre is a marginally better than Corpus which is marginally better than Galveston... I went to Padre once for spring break and left after 2 days and drove to the Destin area. It was totally worth the 10 hour…

Yeah the Beaches are good from Orange Beach / Gulf Shores over to about Pt St Joe. I primarily sell 30a & Miramar Beach, and most of my buyers are from Tennessee and Texas, though I’m starting to get a lot from the St. Louis area all of a sudden.

The roads are awesome. I grew up in the hill country and I have a whole list of scenic drives that I have to make every time I'm back there.

The Texas beaches are shit. That is literally the worst thing about the entire state. That why I, as born and raised Texan, make my living selling beach houses in Destin Fl.

In fact it is not the most Texan thing ever. The Hennessy VelociRaptor is the most Texan thing with a plate. This is more Louisiana.

The NHTSA is nearly as joyless and oppressive as the EPA. They would kill this idea so fast! Each and every variant would have to be crash tested, regardless of the chassis. It’s why we don’t get some of the cool body variants of European cars here in America (read wagons).
