I've done plenty of motor work, motor swaps, general car modifications... I've never heard something as stupid as changing a 02 sensor disabling the airbags... If a 02 sensor bypass for a straight pipe somehow disables airbags, they deserve to get sued. A better example could have been used...

lesson I learned on my first project cst was that a b5 Audi a4 can be made into a very fast and reliable car.(430 awhp) but it is very expensive to do so. Just save your money (25k) and buy a better car (996 Porsche 911 turbo)...
