My opinion is that modern cars are really, REALLY good....for people who don’t care about driving and consider a car an appliance. Which, to be fair, is the vast majority of the car buying public.

This comment that cars are shit today has been said by every generation of old man going back to the 50s.

He’s right though. As cars become more like appliances, less and less soulful cars will exist.

It doesn’t need to be said that Doug Ford is an absolute idiot, but it’s always worth saying.

At least some of that is going to be that the US has more, smaller highways. The 401 goes straight from the US to Quebec border, and something like a 3rd of all Canadians live along that corridor (closer to half if you factor in Montreal and Quebec City, as there’s a Quebec Autoroute that picks up right where the 401…
