The kid must be getting careless in his old age. Would have been even more impressive if they caught him 2 years ago and he was only 9.

I live on a relatively small peninsula so there is water all around. Every few years someone drives into a lake or a shipping canal. If I had to estimate, I would say that 10 times a day someone crashes into someone else on this peninsula. A lake or canal is much bigger and easier to see compared to a fast moving car.

That is a good list of auto belts. I remember them being on a Ford Escort and the Topaz.

I think they were reviewing which cell phones were in the area of the crash to obtain information of who was in the area. They know which phones entered a certain towers range but not necessarily what any of those individuals were doing. Similar to how they requested to review the Video footage from the camera of what

Ah, thats what I was wondering. How tight a space can it park into. I can parallel park into a standard marked parking space no problem. But some people get into remarkable spots where I would need some assistance.

That is a good warning. I was briefly tempted to consider the idea, but 3 retail spaces in all of Canada doesn’t work for me. Too far to tow to and who knows how long parts are to order in.

Back in late 2018 I wanted a Ridgeline but bought a F150. I was able to get a F150 for about $9,000 Canadian less than than the Honda dealership quoted me for a Ridgeline. It was like a $24% premium to go with the Honda. The base Ridgeline was better equipped but the F150 still had everything I needed. The huge discoun

Unlawful to knowingly make a false statement... My licence says I am 5'8" because that’s how tall I was at 16. I’m now 6'3". I asked to change it one day when going in for a photo and was told I needed a doctors note. That seemed like too much work so I gave up.

Good recommendation. I like Karl Popper, I remember quoting him on a tolerance essay I did for a Canadian Studies class. There is a shift happening in the social view on tolerance and intolerance. (at least in my country). It is going to be curious to see how we treat intolerance in the future.

Ohf. That was hard to read. Not that I disagree with it. It is just describing a world so different than my own, and I am trying to understand it without being hateful or angry.

But Jeremy, why now? Why not 20 years ago?

I was expecting to hear that there was some old law in the books that hadn’t been updated since cars came around. Something like - she had to pay a fine being the greater of $50 or the value of her property.  And this lady lost a farm or something like that.

I don’t think anything transcends generations. I made a standard Simpsons joke a few weeks ago and 2 of my younger co-workers stared at me blankly. Not only had they never watched 90's Simpsons but they had never seen the show at all. One of them knew the Simpsons was “that show with the yellow people”.

My parking garage has 2 Volkswagens. The amount of soot on the wall where the two of them park is notable. I can understand that not everything bad is visible but the building manager has to sand blast and paint the wall at those 2 spots each year and they still look awful. None of the gas cars are leaving black marks

Pierce-Arrow. I think it would be neat if the USA had a top market luxury brand. Something to compete with Bentley or Maybach.

Nice! Have fun. Cycling is a great way to move around a community. Even better when it’s fairly flat and not too icy.

I’m near Buffalo so it’s not nearly as cold as Minneapolis. But I find 20F a lot easier to bike than 31F. When the temp hovers at freezing you get lots of water which can make you really wet. You also get unexpected sheets of ice that can be nearly invisible since they are smooth and recently frozen. The unexpected

Yeh, I have a second cousin who I rarely see. He’s claimed to be a sovereign citizen for some 25 years. Last time he was in town he claimed he was doing presentations and lectures to liberate people from uncontractual government ownership or some nonsense.

Oooh I have the opposite version of the story.

I wasn’t familiar with San Bernardino (I’m not American) so I took your advice and looked it up on a map. What a strangely shaped city. Normally they are blobs with the down town in the middle or along the waters edge. This one has tendrils and enclaves.
