Sounds about right. I calculated between 6,500 and 7,500 $ Canadian year for a Prius V depending on how long I keep it and estimating future repairs. Around $6,900 if I sold it today after 8 years.  I’ve talked to quite a few people who look at the additional costs and use it as justification to get a more expensive

As someone thinking of getting a new vehicle in the next two years this is a good way to remind me to think “small”. What I can afford and how much I want to spend are two very different things.

Seeing SVGA still gives me shivers. So many colours!  VGA was so good and super managed to surpass it.  And my kids think they are hard done by because their old tablets only have 2 hours of battery life.

I’m glad Throttle House gets some extra publicity. Those guys have a great channel.

2nd gen is pretty classy, in a classless sort of way.

I am a bit insulted at a few of the emails I’ve gotten from various clothing companies who have my email on their mailing list. They brag that they are concerned about employee welfare and are closing their retail shops. But also inform me that they are still producing goods and take a look at their online stores. It

This is some quality Jalopage. Great photos of some unusual finds.

I managed to snag 2 big packages of toilet paper. I donated them both to the local food bank because I heard they were running low.

I’m nitpicking one of your points even though I agree with the rest of what you said. Tree sap can absolutely discolour stainless steel. It might be resistant to stains but they still happen. Source - I’ve seen what pine trees can do to a steel roof. No damage but quite a lot of marks.

That design has aged pretty well. It still looks pretty modern to my eyes. Especially considering it was super niche and probably didn’t have a large design team.

Prius V would probably suit you well. I have one and it has equivalent interior space to a final generation Pontiac Vibe which I briefly owned. It is notably smaller than the Aztec but if you are happy with the Equinox I would think it would suit you well. Boring to drive but from a vehicle as an appliance view it is

The dude had a “type” and he wasn’t afraid to admit it.

I’ve seen two in my city over the last two months. Both had regular plates on them. Not sure why we are special other than there is an active GM plant in town. The one was parked outside the courthouse and looked rather unremarkable other than the fact it wasn’t suppose to be released yet.

You need temperatures well below freezing -15°C (0°F ) and it needs to consistently stay that cold for at least 4 days to kill those hardy pests. If you park it outside the sun will warm the vehicle. If you use your car at all the engine, heater, body warmth will warm them back up. Killing them with cold just isn’t

I probably should have clarified that I spent several years in the UK where they have a great many roundabouts and am familiar with the proper design of them. Though I was surprised with the drawing above forcing cyclists to walk on the sidewalk. I am use to having the option to ride through with traffic. But I

With everything going on at Nissan I was beginning to wonder if they actually would go ahead and update the Frontier. I would have thought that axing future development for their trucks would be a good way to put resources into continuing operations. Between the world market Nevara, the Mitsubishi Triton and the N.

Despite my complaints I liked a lot about the Frontier. If you ever find a 4wd one for $25k it will likely make you very happy.

The ones in my area all have the second ring to allow the car to exit the roundabout, stop and allow the pedestrian to cross. There are also clear signs at each entrance and exit informing cars to yield to any pedestrians.  I actually don’t have any objection with the infrastructure.  The issue I have is when crossing

My cousins and the kids came to visit last weekend. There were 3 people measuring at 6'5" or taller and the mother was around 5'8". All strongly built, yet they all comfortably fit in a single Toyota Matrix.
