I don’t understand the point you are trying to make. Might makes right? I run a YouTube channel for my job. It only has a few hundred subscribers. Does that mean that the Mr. Beast channel is “better”? It’s two completely different channels, with different audiences, created for two completely different reasons.

I’m as anti-megamerger as the next person but I strangely see this as increasing competition more than harming it. Microsoft has been trailing Sony for some time now and while I wish it was done via an internal push for more and better first party entries, them having additional massive franchises under their belt

Every time you guys post that 2015 photo it hits me with nostalgia. Good luck Luke, thanks for all your great articles.

Lest we forget our vintage awkward 2-D ladder-climbing brethren. King among them, Mayor-rio

Sony is still making more money than ActivisionBliz and microsoft combined currently. this deal makes microsoft the 3rd largest in the gaming market. blocking this merger is really just providing Sony an opportunity to solidify a monopoly they have been barreling towards since the xbox one flopped.

Budweiser hanging her out to dry didn’t help their bottom line. It also gets to her point about abandoning a trans person being worse than not hiring one at all; that holds business-wise as well as morality-wise….if they’d stuck with her they *might* have had a chance of at least picking up some business from people

I completely disagree. Name me one other gay man in a AAA Videogame with so much focus that isn’t relegated to the background and his romance with another man hidden as much as possible. Female romances like those in Last of Us Part 2 are just the easy route to go in because it’s obvious that a primarily male audience

Nobody should have to convince you.  It says “Final Fantasy” on the box. It’s Final Fantasy. Period. That you dislike it is irrelevant to that fact.

It’s not pressure than causes problems, it’s pressure differences. Any pieces that blew off suddenly had the same pressure on all sides, and no longer had large forces acting on it.

I’m sorry to be the one to tell you, but our grocery store prices will never go down. Virtually no price hikes on consumer goods get reduced over time. Best case scenario is them increasing less than 2-3% every year, unless there is a massive change in the macroeconomics of our nation.

As a long-time Executive member, it’s about damn time they ended membership “sharing”.

shrink in stores doesn’t affect pricing, there is literally an entire section of their budget devoted to it

“DLSS is massively superior to FSR 2, so I don’t understand why Microsoft / Bethesda would sign a deal that will lock DLSS out of Starfield,” The Verge’s Tom Warren tweeted. “These deals are simply anti consumer and won’t help AMD sell GPUs. Build a better product instead.”

I’ve been thinking a lot about this incident and the take that resources were potentially wasted on five billionaires. I have thoughts, but no blog or anything so, I’m going to share them here.

It’s a poor sentence but the meaning is clear.

Yeah I really thought it fit with the themes of the show. I have a lot of problems with AI, but I also want to see behind the scenes here and see how much original work was put in to generate this work.

It is just a tool though. It’s not intelligent, it doesn’t do anything on it’s own. It’s a function that has an input and an output. It doesn’t even learn anything new after the initial training is over.

New Kotaku story is “written” by “journalist”, uses excessive scare quotes.

It’s wild how the Extremely Online Left basically became the Joe Rogan Vaccines of AI art because the first 15 minutes of narrative around the technology that turned out to be objectively wrong. lmao

i think it looks pretty good
