@JackTrade: That's exactly right. I commute in traffic on my motorcycle and you get very good at anticipation, always having your escape routes for when someone does try to plow into you.

@2ndGearSuperhero: It does vary by state. In some states you lose the right of way by speeding (of course only in the case of an accident), in others speeders still have the right of way.
