Saying that Beyonce "ate a tuna" makes it sound like she ate the entire fish, which would be extremely impressive, considering that the average tuna fish looks like this.

You sound awesome. I'm due in 7 weeks and hoping that my partner will have the guts to do the same thing, if the situation calls for it.

Anyone have a link that's viewable in Canada?

I've been told that I'm over-qualified for the jobs that only require a BA or MA - I think employers are nervous that I'm going to leave for something better. I'm actually tempted to just leave the PhD off my resume.

I'm still really glad that I did my PhD, and relatively confident that I'll work out a satisfying employment situation. But watching the hiring process for a tenure-track position from within my department was a real eye opener - all of the candidates (for this $70,000/year job at our middle-of-the-road university in

Funny thing is, the more humanities degrees you get, the less employable you become. After I got my BA, I got a great job straight away (good salary! benefits! paid vacations! in a field I was interested in!). After my MA, I got a really great offer (a position with the International Committee of the Red Cross -

Oh look, a headless fatty!

I think that the social meaning of tanned white skin has changed over time. It used to be "my skin is dark because I have to labour outdoors all day," making pale skin an indication of higher social status or class. But now it's like "my skin is dark because I have the money and time to spend on leisure activities

Believe it or not, I've never seen it. What was I even doing in the 90s? Besides, like, smoking weed and wearing lip liner.

I've seen Eternal Sunshine and have heard great things about Silver Linings Playbook. I'll check these out, thank you!

Everyone, quick! Tell me your top romantic comedies. I have only seen a handful of the ones in the video (Bridget Jones, Friends with Benefits, The Proposal... mostly on airplanes), but I'm housebound today and some terrible romcoms would be PERFECT. Also, did you know that there's currently an ice storm happening in

I think this is a Scooby Doo reference.

If by "freely available" you mean "available but very expensive," then yes.

Yep, I took it! Only problem is that it's super expensive.

The good/bad/ugly looks great with the new format! More scrolling, less clicking - I like it.

Forgive me if this has already been addressed somewhere else!

Love her or hate her (personally, I'm in the latter camp), she occupies a pivotal place in the overall acceptance of women as leaders. A feminist though, she was not.

I was just about to recommend eShakti as well! They have lots of A-line skirts, which are really flattering for most of us curvy ladies. I'm a size 16 with very wide hips and it's really hard for me to find things that fit properly, so I LOVE the custom fit. I'm thinking of this one for a summer wedding:

I tried Bio-oil for scars and didn't find it worked very well for me. I tried vitamin E oil after, and found it worked WAY better. Just get the gel capsules from the vitamin isle at the drug store, puncture them, and massage the oil into your skin.

I know this is probably not what happens in most cases, but I was in a similar situation for years and am now married to the man :)
