Tekken’s soundtrack is pretty good, but it definitely has that prototype-feel, as if it’s just a rough draft of what Tekken music will ultimately become. It’s memorable, but not as memorable as say........Tekken Tag Tournament, or Tekken 3.

Physical over digital for me. And that will change on the day that I am able to fully own and preserve digital releases through the years in the same way that I do physical ones.
Everyone’s memories of shooters obviously defaults to the Nintendo (and SNES) given the volume of them on those systems. But Sega has its own curated legacy of wonderful shumps that go overlooked regularly, like this one. And it’s an example how certain games really only work on certain systems. The synth music in…
The multiverse thing is just a cover for the lazy way studios like WB have normally done comic book movies. Usually, their strategy is to metaphorically throw a bunch of shit at the wall and see what sticks: give a bunch of directors/writers various comic properties and let them do what they want with it. If it works,…
I can understand that because it’s a Suicide Squad game that it would be something like this. But it really seems like WB/DC is going out of its way to shit on Superman every chance they get, and I hate it. Say that it’s like what you said, and Superman is under the control of something, like Brainiac in the trailer.…
I get that. And it’s in times like these that you need something to look up to. Something that shows you that things can get better. Classic Superman has that in spades.
It’s emblematic of most of the shit that comes out of WB/DC these days. They don’t do the work and don’t want to. And they end up churning out crap. And then they whine and complain that no one wants to watch/buy their crap. But they don’t change, because that would mean doing the work. And we’re back to square one.
Even more than that, it feels like Gotham City Impostors, aka Sunset Overdrive on DC steroids.
Look.
I’ll believe this movie is real when I actually see it get made. Honestly, they should’ve cancelled this film along with the rest of the DCEU slate. I have no faith that this will end up being good.
Goddamn, it was right in front of my face and I couldn’t see it. Fucking A. You can’t play as Batman. That’s a biiiiig problem.
For a game that focuses on the Batfamily for a change, it feels very...”meh.” I don’t feel any great urge to play it or not play it. Something is off about it but I can’t exactly place what that is.
There’s no way Batman is dead. 5 bucks says he’s been captured and brainwashed by the Court of Owls and you’ll have to fight him at some point in the game.
Stuff like this oddly happens when a Western property of some kind is brought over to Japan: it gets an intense anime intro, at the very least. See the X-Men animated series and the original TMNT cartoon for other examples. I don’t know why this happens, but it does.
Limited Run did a physical release of this game along with a CE of it last week. The CE not only contains the soundtrack and a pretty sweet Jack statue, but a Jack’s Katana letter opener! It was a little pricey to get, but as far as I’m concerned, absolutely worth the cash I shelled out for it.
So basically, this boils down to drama on the internet being stirred up to generate tons of clicks. Yeah, this happens way too much. And not just with YouTube.
Bionic Commando Rearmed definitely deserves its own post. That soundtrack...”epic” doesn’t even really begin to describe it.
And now I know that when it comes to VR, I can definitely write off Oculus Rift.
