It is amazing. I grew up in a family trucking/warehousing business in Germany. In the 80s, long haul truck diesels went nuts with turbos and intercoolers - huge efficiency and power gains, leading to a lot higher average speeds (although part of that was elecromagnetic brakes, too - not only did trucks get up big

“Here are 15 cars that would have been better in every way as regular hatchbacks”

I would rather have a rusty original.

The best reason for them would be to wait four years and then order the most iconic Cadillac ever made.

Love those Dagmars. ; )

I’ve been touting advance designed foil bearings as the future of all high speed bearings. The average American kept telling me to put my tin foil hat back on, saying “ball bearing is the best yo because turbos”

Would someone please explain to me why everything from China is automatically labeled “bullshit”? Everyone said the same damn thing back in the 60's when the Japanese started importing cars here, and look how that turned out. Today, some of the most technologically advanced vehicles come from Japan.

It was just 2 hour walk. Anyway it’s easier to see new Ferrari in Prague than old Rapid/Garde or any Tatra car. here You goPraga V3S shot few weeks ago.

It sure is interesting hearing about you and the other dude’s Dad’s truck.Let us know when you get one.

Very impressive....but to get these numbers you’d have to drive a Dodge :/

Do you have any numbers to back that up or are you only internally justifying your truck’s excess emissions? Bulk petroleum transport and processing is a highly efficient process and I could just as easily see the numbers working out in the other direction.

Wait, a diesel engine died at 140K?

Commercially owned vehicles driven by underpaid employees will never hit decent fuel mileage numbers specifically because in this scenario the accelerator is basically treated as an on/off switch probably 90% of the time.

That ignores the question. Electric cars are more fuel (energy) efficient than ICE cars regardless of how that electricity is produced.

Smiles Per Gallon rating is through the convertible roof!

“paid the mechanic to diagnose” is probably pulled into Autozone and had them run a scanner, at most. Or did a google and is listing the least scary response.

“America's Hat"? More like "America is Canada's bitch". We're bigger, and we're on top.

Also, add oil when needed.

That’s a union thing. The other guys probably said that it wasn't in their work description, and that they are only certified to carry out the guns.
