I dont know about that, went from 87k to 17x k miles in my northstar with not a single emgine issue (all accessories died though) i know they had the gasket issues but mine was a 96 and was awesome.

Youre wrong, im a big fan of 4 bangers! But not the enormous shafted ones. I would love me some 2l lampredi dohc with twin webbers or an opel CIH (cam in head) both put out 150hp in the 80ties and in a compact size car are fantastic.
