Try going rally instead, wayyyy cheaper, lots of drifting too, and you can be competetive with a $3k car as long as its stock. Literally my local (IL) stock classes have geos, pt cruisers, jettas etc.... take look:

I agree, killing pontiac and olds while keeping buick and trying to fill a whole in the full size upscale market that cadillac left with buick makes me thinking who the F. Is in charge of GM

And less transmission and heat loss since he is generating it in the middle of a residential area

How is that stupid again? Arent the solar guys paying for the hookup/maintenance by suppling power back? I mean my bill is usualy 35% usage kWh and 65% fees for hook up and delivery. If i generated all my power in the house i would still pay 65% of my current bill even though i dont use any of their power. With net

The service fee is higher than electricity usage (kWh) where i live (IL)

I live in IL the cost of being hooked up is higher then the electricity i use in my old house. So to be fair if i was using 100% my own electricity but stayed connected my bill would only drop by 40% or so. So it doesn’t make any sense to invest in a solar panel/storage.

I think im going to quote you when intimate with my GF!

Thats what i was hoping, since the prices for honda s2000s are insane there would be a big market for something like that....

The v8 71 series were used in semi tractors, if his dads truck is a mack/peterbilt/freightliner kind of truck it might work. If its a ram/f350 kind of truck i wont believe it will fit, people swap 4 cylinder detroits into one ton trucks and then bitch how heavy the 4 cylinder is. Also they all run a roots blower -

Thanks for a real answer, im tired of all the jalopniks chiming in even though they are clueless- like the guy above you talking about changing the hood insulation. By the way i hate dry chem extinguishers, invest in a CO2 and carry a dry chem as backup.

Did you do any hp mods? I driven my cousins 944 NA several times and absolutely loved the handling, how it felt and overall vibe, pretty much loved everything except the medicore power, i mean 130ish hp is not acceptable in a full size car, lotus7 or some micro fiat sure but not in a porsche. I never driven a 928,

I believe the correct spelling is “Faux News"

I remember when you could snatch them for under 20k in mid 2000s (not that long ago!). I dont think the wedgy lotus will go the same route. The performance potential is not there, i mean you could wedge in some american v8 in there but then it wouldn’t be 100% lotus, vs detomaso actually had american power so if you

Panteras used to be cheap, then people realized that they can have an italiab super car without all the engine out routine maintenance so now your looking at 100k for a nice detomaso....

Sorry pal, you’re confusing defence of property (car) with defence of self. Now if the biker attempted to open the door that would be a different story

It shouldn’t, its all forged and dont even use main caps, it has main bearing craddle!

Yeah crimps handle more amperage than solder.... feel free to post a source for that...

I use pace sensatemp for bench and a butane pencil for wires (looks like a wireless weller) i dont understand your implification that a crimp has less resistance than solder. Care to point a source?

Most people use to big of an iron in my experience. They do have their place like you mention but i wouldn’t touch a pcb with a non temp regulated iron. Thats where shtf i think, people try to do it all with just one tool.

Let us know what crimp preserves flexibility of the wire, last time i checked they are stiff as nails and wires usually break ahead of the crimp (same goes for solder)
