Tyler Perry?

Ultimate Alliance 3 seems like the better experience so far. Seems like this game got caught trying to be somewhere in the middle of UA3 and Spider-Man 2018, but not as fun as either. Hopefully that changes when we see more of it.

He’s a shitlord for sure but not sure the whole “roundhouse kick” thing was on the level of the other stuff mentioned in the article. That was incredibly overblown at the time and only seems more so today.

The game is pretty great, but it’s held back by its win conditions which don’t even really line up with how the games play out. As a co-operative exploration game it is fantastic, but without the expansion you have to “house-rule” co-op into the base game. It’s pretty easy, just ignore the scorecard and play the game

Interesting reveal, I know there’s been a lot of talk about whether or not the 4th Darksiders would be strife-only or feature all 4 horesemen as playable characters. I guess this kind of solves the problem, Strife gets his own game here and then Darksiders 4 could be a team-up game.

I grabbed the Rift S and it’s pretty nice. I never really take my gaming stuff anywhere so I didn’t mind being tethered to the system. As mentioned in the article, it really was “plug-n-play” and while I can see where the more expensive headsets do things better (resolution, tracking, etc), it really is a great system

Doesn’t really seem to be dead or slowing down at all

That list looks so small, even smaller considering Nintendo’s isn’t even a real conference. Only 4 actual on-site conferences...Only 1 by a console maker. I wonder if the conference would still go on in its current form if 1 or 2 more of them drop out.

I’m happy about that aspect of it, I supported their DLC since launch because I felt they released a fantastic product and deserved the support (spent about $60 total I think). Just a little suspicious of Epic’s intentions at the moment, and a little confused as to how Psyonix thinks they’re reaching a new audience

The card game was very fun especially with the Hunter’s Nightmare expansion, which I’d damn near consider essential. Very much looking forward to this, with the amount of miniatures that keep getting added the $100 price tag is definitely reasonable.

Epic has considerably more cash than Valve, not sure where you were trying to go with that. Epic’s valuation is 5x more than Valve’s most recent (although Valve has probably increased so more like 3x).

yeah developers pay us to play their games on steam, you’re right.

You’re kind of putting blinders on if you’re saying they’re doing nothing with it. Nothing that might affect you maybe, or nothing that you’re impressed with, but a superior storefront, VR developments including gaming and a headset, Steam controller/link...the money is clearly going to places. Sony and Microsoft ask

I feel they’re somewhat of a Gala apple vs Jazz apple comparison rather than Apples vs Oranges. I believe what distances Risk of Rain 2 from WWZ is actually a hindrance though (lower budget, less popular IP, less advertising) which makes its success that much more impressive.

I agree, no one is really the hero in this story.

What have been the cost savings to the consumer so far due to the smaller cut Epic is taking? Then you might say, it helps the developers earn more, therefore more games for the consumer. The first point to that is the publisher is getting the higher cut, not the developer. We have no idea if the developer is

Essentially admitting that exclusivity deals are due to some pissing match between them and Valve rather than being anywhere near an attempt at being pro-consumer.

how was evolve supposed to be l4d3?

2 is nearly identical to 1 in that sense, and 3 is even worse as mentioned in the article. By the looks of it, 4 seems to be the same as 1 and 2. It’s just how they want the game to control, even though people like you and I would prefer it to be a bit tighter.

David Lynch is interested in continuing Twin Peaks and specifically said he would want production to start in 2020. On a list so short with so many possible choices I wouldn’t have gone all in on the Season 3 finale being the Series Finale.
