I don’t think Lords of Salem is completely successful, but it definitely has it’s moments and it’s shot beautifully. It felt like it was a pretty huge leap forward for Zombie as a director and I was excited for what he’d do next.

We Are the Flesh was the one recommendation that I didn’t agree with. It’s a pointless, trashy slog that’s nowhere near as deep as it pretends to be. It’s one of those films where you can almost hear the director off camera shouting “I’m making ART!” No, sir. You’re making stupid.

Interesting info about Slumber Party Massacre. I tried watching that Sunday for the first time and it was so incredibly stupid, I didn’t finish it. Knowing now that it was satire, I may have to go back and give it another look.

I’ve come to hate them more than Walmart because they really are even more destructive, yet I’ve never set foot in a Walmart and I use Amazon pretty much every day in one way or another, so I’m a hypocritical idiot and shouldn’t be trusted with my opinions.
