Guess that would explain your better than average knowledge. :) Hope you're doing okay, health wise

Got it. Sounds like you have a higher than average understanding of CF. Are you in the medical field?

There’s only one gene that causes CF (CFTR). However, there are many variants within the gene that can cause the disease with a broad range of disease severity. You are correct though that delta F508 is a severe mutation; those who have 2 copies of this specific mutation tend to have worse health outcomes.

People were fucking before toilet paper too so that’s not really a good metric.

We should if for no other reason than your cool screen name. we can hang out and have conversations in the grays. :)

I think mine were bright ass pink too! I don’t even know if they made any other colors . . .

I remember getting a package of Lee Press-On nails for Christmas circa 1989, when I was ~11.

No, he gets off work after the kids are asleep. (He’s a restaurant server and works the afternoon/evening shift.) He’ll eat (the second dinner his wife made), change, and go back out to meet with friends. Mind you, he’s supposed to be getting up to watch his young daughter early in the morning so his wife can get

My former co-worker’s husband would go to meet up with “friends”* at 10pm for drinking. This dude is in his mid-/late 30’s with 2 young kids. We’re all in the same age range. My exact words were “We are too old for that shit, he needs to take his ass to bed.”

I don’t know, there’s always something. I live in large-ish house (4 BR, 3 floors) with a yard. There’s always something that could/should be done. Between vacuuming, mopping, cleaning cat hair off furniture, litter box duty, cleaning bathrooms, laundry, cooking, etc., there is always something that should be tended

If I give my one cat wet food, he’s super messy. He’s had several teeth removed so I think he can’t pick up the food/keep it in his mouth well so there’s always a ring of food. Ew. Good thing he mostly gets dry food.

It looks like I missed the bits about laundry and dinner (I’m always trying to read covertly at my desk so I occasional miss details). Good point about SAHP having time to come up with a daily plan. But this kid is 6 months old. He's never taken his son out for a day? Even if he's not as experienced as his wife, he

True. I think that the SAH parent should take on the bulk of childcare/housekeepping responsibilities but this guy seems like he’s not helping out at all, ever (like nights and weekends).

Seriously? I feel like it takes forever to clean our house and we just have a cat. But then again, I think a cat (shedding, knocking, shit over, paw prints on the counter, etc.) makes more of a mess than an immobile baby.

I know diddly about babies, especially newborns, but I feel like they would be super boring until they became somewhat mobile. However, it’s my understanding that most SAH parents aren’t just sitting around gazing at their baby all day long. Why didn’t this guy have other things to do? I’m sure there was laundry or

I’ll admit to being this jerk about tiramisu. I never liked tiramisu until I had it in Rome. Here, it’s made with lady fingers (is that what those cookies are called?) and I never cared for it. The one I had in Rome was just a pudding and it was amaaazing. I had it every night.

What is this stamp site? I need to buy adorable stamps!

I get suuuper bitchy about this at work. I have a female co-worker who complains about her husband (who is basically a stay at home dad during the day) not doing ther daughter’s hair. I know it’s technically none of my business but that’s bullshit. You don’t get to declare that you won’t do something to take care of

Ha, I actually used to do the opposite. If I didn’t buy something frivolous, I would reward myself by putting it into savings. As a grad student, saving a few bucks at a time was about the best I could hope for.
