I did not like the book. I don't like Bryson's writing in general though. I think I've read 3 of his books and just gave up. He's so negative about everything, that seems to be his go-to sense of humor. Also finding out that Katz isn't real kind of left a bad taste in my mouth.

This is probably an irrelevant anecdote, I've met many people who look white but are members of a tribe and self-identify as native. That probably doesn't quite work in this situation, since Jacqueline's parents are both purportedly 100% Native American.
