I think because to be an artist requires a dialectical mind, the ability to see both sides of an idea, and people on the far right only see one side of anything, their own. People on the far left on the other hand, see every side (even to a fault), which can make them extreme in their views but still good artists.
There’s no way a libertarian comic would let his set end that quickly. He’d follow each audience member to their car haranguing them about being sheeple and that those jokes were great.
Could you imagine the horrors Michael Bay would be capable of if teenage boys didn’t like his movies?
A priest, a rabbi and a libertarian walk into a bar. The bartender refuses to serve the libertarian but serves the priest and the rabbi. When the libertarian complains, the bartender says, “Free enterprise, asshole!”
Patton Oswalt’s longstanding theory is that a lot of these assholes are failed hacky comedians, so it’s great to see him a little justified.
You ever notice how Ayn Rand is obsessed with trains? You hear about this? These folks know. She’s crazy about the trains. I say hey Ayn how about you find another way to RAIL against the government! Am I right folks? Is this thing on? Don’t check. I don’t need help. I’ll do it myself. It is on. I guess the…

This seems to be a bit of an NPR phenomenon - the interviewer who wants to avoid being ironic, but can’t disguise it perfectly, so the earnestness is a style rather than a content. She and others hesitate when speaking as if to say…
Also, the engineering calculation (“can I function in your absence?”) is different from the economic/business calculation: Does the time you save me in a day result in more value than your cost to the company? Even if her work only saved Musk 15 minutes a day, there’s a good chance that 15 minutes of Musk’s time is…
Her job no longer exists because she had the temerity to ask for a raise.
Elon, as intelligent and skilled as he is, didn’t realize her lack of utility in the prior 12 years that she worked for him (and did so in a capacity that she wasn’t fired for the myriad of reasons that an assistant would be fired, the most…
I think Bran is “pushing” others to be where they need to be mentally and emotionally in order for events to unfold the way the need to. He “pushed” LF towards acting instead of planning. He kept Arya on her assasin path. Maybe his mention of the sansa’s rape was to bring the pain back to the forefront so she will…
