i think that melania does herself no favors standing next to FLOTUS. the genuine warmth next to the steely coldness of excess botox and lack of a soul is very jarring.

I mean to be totally honest, you might want to wait for him to ruin the economy- if you have savings, you will probably be able to pick up a bargain after the next crash (if our currency isn’t horribly debased in the meantime, which it may well be).

Why not make some of these norms the rule of law? It’s remarkably easy for Trump to do these things because things like releasing tax returns, disclosing conflicts of interest, etc are “strongly suggested” rather than required under the law. I was talking to someone about this just this morning. I know some of them are embarrassed. It’s easy to walk around talking a big game when things are looking up, but when this kind of stuff goes on, I think most of these more moderate people are like, shit, what did we do?

Our norms are not strong enough to withstand a concentrated assault by two branches of government (and, when Ginsburg leaves the court, all 3).

I don’t understand what’s ironic about writing about a presidential candidate and then continuing to write about that individual once they’re elected. Help me out here?
