At this point, I honestly don’t even know what to say- there’s just no words to express the absolute insanity of what we are witnessing. There isn’t a single touchpoint I can reference to provide parallel or precedence. Can’t yell “1984" or “It Can’t Happen Here”, because even those seem to be set in some sort of

I know I should keep up the good fight for humanity, but it’s during moments like this that I just want to say, “fuck it y’all” and burrow in my bed forever surrounded by books and Netflix.

I agree...the states she won closely should also be double checked for voter fraud so everyone is comfortable with whatever the recounts are

This seems like such an odd thing for people to get their panties in a twist about. Between the Russians, voter suppression efforts, and Trump claiming the election was rigged I don’t see how taking a closer look at a couple of states can hurt, maybe it will help restore some confidence in our voting system. It’s

“I won the popular vote if you deduct the millions of people who voted illegally.”

HOW does he think there is any way he won the popular vote? He is somehow claiming that he totally legitimately won, but also that it was rigged.

Maybe that is just what we need; for the 3rd party candidates to lead this fight for the recount. As long as we get a recount. Why is Gary Johnson silent on this?

At some point are the Democrats going to stop kidding themselves that not contesting potentially dodgy election results is going to result in a smooth transition to power? Because all appearances suggest the transition is not going smoothly, and is not going to go smoothly regardless of what the Democrats do, so maybe

Frankly, I think that says he rigged it. He called people liars and crooks when he is the biggest of either in politics, talked about people’s stamina and health and look at him, he called for drug-testing before the 3rd debate when it was clear he was on coke for the first two... Basically, anything he says about

It almost feels like he telegraphs the opposite outcome, setting himself up as the victim while knowing full well what’s in the offing. I know how that sounds, but is very difficult to not be paranoid.

I can’t tell you how much I love the fact that my vote is worth substantially less than votes from people who live in less populous states.

Was it Wisconsin that had several precincts that registered more votes for Trump than the total number of votes actually cast in the precinct?

I’m a little torn on this. If Russian hacking is actually interfering with our actual votes, that is a serious problem that we absolutely have to know about. On the other hand, having both political parties talking about the election being rigged seems bad for democracy.

The most frustrating thing is, this isn’t even taking the ‘high road’. As the person who won the plurality of the popular vote, the Clinton campaign has a moral responsibility to investigate every possibility! Leaving it alone isn’t the high road, leaving it alone is the easy road.

Because I’m a navel-gazing liberal, I keep asking myself how I would react if the situation were reversed. If Trump had lost but his supporters were calling for recounts in key states with close results and this or similar evidence (they’re claiming illegal immigrants voted, not Russian hacking, right?).

I’ve been avoiding these stories, because they’re too hopeful and 2016 has taught me that hope is lost.
