SING MIKEY SING
Oh, he’s singing. There’s no way in hell he would agree to plead guilty on this if he wasn’t working with Mueller.
SING MIKEY SING!!!! I will personally drive a bus to DC for you to throw people under! Name all the names! DOOO ITTT.
Am I the only one who would prefer all of these creeps NOT apologise? It’s not like anyone is gaining anything from the perfunctory ‘I’m sorry if anyone felt bad, I need to soul-search and realise how truly amazing I am - so amazing that I don’t need to rape!’
I gave you a star, but I threw up a little, too.
“He continued: “I meant to pat her back after she told me about her unhappiness and her shirt was open and my hand went up it about six inches. She recoiled.”
“Oh, did I not mention that I was completely nude at the time? Yes. Naked as a jaybird. The Woebegon breeze whistling through my knobby knees as I took in her warmth. I said nothing, but she could see my pleasure.”
I’d never read this before. It’s peak Keillor (as opiner, not entertainer). Gay people should just live their lives in lonely closeted silence so the rest of us don’t have to deal with the inconvenience of hyphenated names and confusion over who spends holidays with which grandparents?
I just can’t understand how Garrison Keillor has always had a perpetual job in comedy but Wanda Sykes doesn’t.
I could swear I heard the same thing about him years ago. In my (admittedly foggy) recollection, it seems like I saw some sort of 60 Minutes-style interview/career-overview puff piece about him back the early 00s. At one point, there was discussion of allegations against him, but they were presented (seemingly without…
When we hear these stories and it sounds like it’s one individual complaint over something fairly minor, you kind of have to assume that 1) the HR office did their due diligence in investigating this and 2) found something else that was much worse.
There is no way the allegation is a hand up the back of her shirt. No way someone would be fired for that. Definitely inappropriate, but not a fire-able offense.
What I gleaned from the show is very different from what I gleaned reading his essays, remarks, etc.
I can’t remember where I read it, and it’s not on the wiki page at the moment, but I’m *quite* sure he previously was accused of sexual harassment/may have settled a lawsuit related to it. But like I said, it happened *at least* a decade ago.
Yep, that’s the article I read. He’s using what he said other people did as an excuse for his actions.
10 bucks says his side of the story “i thought she was interested based on my self-selecting non-existent signs she was giving off so this was courtship”
he’s always cheating on his partners, right?
