Anyone who thought the allegations alone would stop the GOP from forcing Kavanaugh through was a fool. Maybe if he were a Bush nominee he would have been forced to step aside.
It’s certainly not an easy place to hide, but I’ve always felt like there’s far more local pressure on players across all sports in cities like Boston, Philly or Chicago than there is here. And I’d think Yankee players can avoid detection on the street far easier than any NHL player on a Canadian team.
