I don’t think it’s inherently racist to wonder if those were real words. My husband is from the virgin islands and his mother is from antigua. A few months ago at a party all his cousins were like, “I don’t know wtf she’s saying.”

Misogyny aside, these ads are terrible. Isn’t clarity the number one rule of marketing? Like, for doctors it’s “First, do no harm” and for advertisers it’s, “First, don’t confuse anybody.” What in the actual fuck did they think they were selling here?
TBH its still better than the time DR Pepper did that whole “Not for women” campaign. Solidifying it as the drink of choice for adult men who call their den a "man cave"
I actually love Pokemon Go and I’m absolutely team how and also why is he staying out till 5 AM. I’m a Youth, and that just sounds utterly exhausting.
Seriously. I start my day at 7:15 and have to drive a lot to get to work. I am in bed by 10 and up by 6. I need my damn sleep. And now that I’m pregnant, the idea of someone wasting their good sleep like that makes me want to punch people. I’m like, “I WISH I COULD SLEEP WITHOUT SOMEONE KICKING ME.” And I’m in my 20s.…
Not one he prioritizes, apparently. If my husband decided to do this, I would have to explain about divorce to him.
He’s either cheating on her or he’s actually playing Pokémon Go until 5 a.m.
How the fuck does a man in his 30's stay out all night until 5am? Does he not have a job or any responsibilities in life?
JFC are you really equating Bernie or Bust protesters to Martin Luther King??? Have some perspective!!
Actually Stewart called out Occupation folks for heckling John Lewis in much the same way Bee does here.
We live in a capitalist country. The majority of Americans want capitalism that isn’t allowed to crush them but they don’t want it to go away either.
You know, I agree with you completely on the topic of Hillary’s flaws.
Stein says she believes WiFi hurts children and should be restricted around schools. She also panders to the anti-science crowd in general. That’s who you want leading this country? Someone who I would bet money understands that WiFi isn’t dangerous for children and that vaccines are safe but won’t come out and say it…
...has chosen to perpetuate a narrative dreamed up by the Clinton campaign and glommed on to by the media that put identity politics (and HRC’s personal victory which is supposed to stand it as an achievement for all women?) above the legitimate needs of the most vulnerable among us (including poor and working women).
Hillary has been held to a higher standard for the entirety of this campaign. Bernie’s single-issue blinders and apparent inability to speak to minority issues was easily excused, charming even, but Clinton has had her every word put under a microscope. And what’s ironic is that— policy-wise— she’s nothing if not a…
For the people in these extremes, it’s exactly what they want or nothing at all. While I certainly understand the emotion of working very, very hard for a candidate only to lose (these Bernie or Busters should talk to Hillary’s PUMA volunteers and delegates from 2008, but to recognize that commonality might actually…
Well, the vagina is the technical name for the long canal where women give birth. It’s a body part men don’t have.
It’s one of the corollaries of Duverger’s Law: protest votes against a major party for being insufficiently leftward (or rightward) drives that party towards the center in successive elections, making the protest vote a counterproductive temper tantrum.
This is actually a serious issue. The Dems have gone pretty damn far left in an attempt to pulling Bernie supporters (which has largely worked, between 73 and 90% support Hillary now depending on what polls you look at). But what a lot of the diehard ultra left seem to not realize is the message the Dems would have…
