I have long been diagnosed with a serious mental health issue and pass for vaguely white most of the time. The treatment of mentally ill people is horrific. I’ve been treated poorly. But in my 25 years dealing with healthcare providers, I know I have not been treated nearly as poorly other people of color. I have seen

I absolutely think it is race-based, I just know it isn’t *only* race-based. Been there myself, and it was definitely class-based, as well as female-based. After two hours of being mistreated and insulted by the (black, female) nurses, a white male doctor came in and sighed and asked me if he’d write me a prescription

I’m white, and I was in the hospital once for a panic attack, begging for help. I remember the doctor finally coming in and going “yeah yeah, oh wow, you’re fine, get over it”, then leaving me alone for half an hour. I begged for help alone until they finally gave me an injection. I really thought I was going to die.

Just wanted to say a disclaimer: you do you and what works for you, but I’d recommend scoping out some resources that may (or may not) help, if you haven’t already. Seems like you have a good hold on it, but the reason I don’t keep guns in my house is because - even with my very mild mental challenges - one bad night

Im white and straight and suffer from mental illness with the same results. Why does this have to be about race? Everyone with a mental illness is treated badly let’s stop making everything about race.

Man, I came here hoping to read something actually helpful, not just “don’t get hungry” and “try to stay happy.”

I bought the box set as a gift about 10years ago and never gave it to my friend cuz I wanted it! I remember seeing the 1st episode live on mtv in a college dorm room and having my mind blown. It gets kinda dicey towards the end but the first 2 seasons are dynamite.

Back in the day, MTV was broadcasting some of the most creative, irreverent, fun stuff on tv.

LOVE this movie! I actually own it. I’ll pull it out and watch it every once in a while.

This is how I feel about Lara Croft: Tomb Raider, starring pre-Brad Angelina Jolie. It’s a fantastic film that I know every line of and I will love it forever. I still have yet to see the Alicia Vikander thingy.

All I recall from that movie Charlize character had hands instead of her feet, so no shoes.

I know deep in my bones that MTV will absolutely mess this up and turn me into an old man yelling at a cloud.

First off..Splinter needs a proof reader. So many grammar mistakes it makes your story hard to read. Second, How exactly would you prefer the state get you to pay your dang ticket. I have an idea..don’t get a ticket in the first place. They could garnish your wages I suppose..but the one guy was unemployed for some

I’m not a tiny doll, I am an overstuffed plush manetee

Password requirements are one of the biggest threats to security anyway.

Website: “Your password must have this. Oh, and it must not have MORE than this because we can’t afford to keep track of it.”

“She also said Johnston would give her between $1,500 and $2,000 every week for no particular reason, according to court records. If she needed money, she said, he would ‘pull out a large wad of cash.’”

“For no particular reason,” as one does. Nothing to question here.

Because then he’d have to commit to, like, a modicum of work and responsibility.

You know what he did.

Okay, let’s see here. Dude is 26. He has an Audi and the money to buy lots of guns and ammunition. Assuming he was playing ICE cop between 9 and 5, what did he do to earn money?
