Evil? Yep.

I agree. Funeral related costs are MUCH less pre-need than OMG-i-need-right-now pricing. Cemetery plots can be financed out etc.

Credit Union FTW. Refinanced both house and car in 2014 calendar year. House is now at 4.5 and car is 3.5 percent. House loan was granted due to me being a very long time customer (20+ years) with hardships. 2012-2013 sucked. This was even with banged-up credit and a car repo on record.

p.s. i won't tell if you dig a nice deep hole in the back yard and bury cremains in it. They are quite sanitary, but I do recommend wearing a dust mask. I've always wanted to be mixed with concrete and turned into a Memorial Patio........but I'm a little weird. OK, a LOT weird.

It's very likely illegal to bury human remains on land that you own unless you have part of it officially and permanently designated as a cemetery. Start researching the laws in your state.

Thankfully, we use a local locksmith shop that has been in the neighborhood for decades and has always been up front about pricing. They aren't the cheapest, but their work is always top notch.

Soylent Green is people !!!

We're real fancy. Had to put in a nightlight for the dog. Also have dimmer on the lights in there.

You've never seen me poop, have you ? Remember the scene in the Gremlins movie where the the gremlin was microwaved ?

What (or whom, i suppose) the heck did Godzilla eat to make him projectile vomit like that? Poor guy. Eat one too many Taco Bells ?

I dunno about printing at home.....but it would be nice to take my scrip to the pharmacy Vend-O-Matic machine at walmart, feed it my paper or electronic scrip, and immediately get my pills - CORRECTLY ! The frigging humans behind the counter are the weak link at the pharmacies I have used.

Well. Launched a sort of a tiny denial of service attack on yourself, didn't you ?

Yup. Agreed.

Yup. Volunteers and unpaid interns actually cost a good bit.

Very true. I know that I have missed opportunities for advancement over the years due to both my race and my refusal to play office politics. On the other hand, I do seem to have the respect of most everyone around me. So it's not all bad. LOL

Now that right there is funny. I've been in IT for 23.5 years now, moved up in salary and responsibilities over the years. I have yet to touch an IBM card punch machine that I learned how to use in the one college computer course I took. They were phased out at my employer a while before I started here.

You are very astute, sir.

The reason fecal things happen to you is to build your character. Which is really to say "Fecal things happen to you in order to build up your tolerance to Feces being dumped upon you." This wisdom is also reiterated in "What doesn't kill you makes you stronger."

Heck..I thought I was the only one in history of colleges that ever did that. I stayed up till two AM typing a paper (in the olden days...1978-1980....Smith-Corona electric typewriter) to have it ready to turn in on time at eight AM. No one else had theirs ready, so the prof gave everyone another week. :( She then

That is so true times triple infinity. Incompetence I can work with, run around, dig under, go over, drag along with me. As long as the person is pleasant to be around I can deal with them just fine.
